My story

Mackerel ("Mack" to his foster parents; estimated DOB: 1/21/2017) is a playful, silly, happy boy who is ready to love and be loved! Mack’s beautiful gray tabby coat is so silky and soft. This boy has LOTS of energy and is always making folks laugh with his antics. He loves wand toys, toy mice, and being picked up and carried around the house. He is eager to please, and because of that he is easy to redirect when needed. Mack is a smart cat; he learned to come when called after just two weeks in his foster home! He eats his wet food with gusto and snacks on kibble between meals. He’s also good at hydrating, though he prefers to drink out of human cups! Mack uses the litter box with no issues. Mack has been through a lot in his life, losing his home twice and winding up at Animal Control each time. Mack is very friendly with people and other cats as long as he is properly and slowly introduced. He was recently neutered, and hormones often take a while to leave the system. For that reason, he would do best in a home with another young friendly male cat. The female cat in his foster home has been the target of his sometimes unwelcome affections, though he has been obedient with redirect commands. Mack could also do well as the only cat in a home if his human companions are able to dedicate lots of time to him.
