My story

Hello, my name is Stratus. I am a very charming fellow. My foster parents say I am an old soul. I am in rescue for help to find my very own family and just like so many other orphans wanting their new family I have the patience to wait. But that is where my story changes. I was picked up as a stray when I was 5 months old. People would come to the shelter to look for a new family member and I would get overlooked. I am a typical black dog. The shelters are full of them. But, the shelter knew I was an incredible fellow. When I hit one year old, a nice couple would come and bring me home for the weekend two times a month. I was able to do what dogs who have homes do. I am a very happy boy. So, time went on and a year passed. Then two years passed. Today I am 3 years old. Still I wait for my family to pick me out. But, being an adult black dog, nothing special does not make me stand out. The kind family has still been taking me every other weekend. They have reached out to a friend who is involved with rescuing about getting me my very own furever home. This is what I am looking for: A family who wants me, and loves me. I am the best boy!
