ALL ABOUT ME Name: Kerry Age: 7 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo / Poongsan mix Colour: White Weight: 32kg / 70lbs MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the GaPyeong City Animal Shelter by some truly warm-hearted rescuers. Even though shelters can be tough, I didn’t let it affect my cheerful spirit! Now I’m ready to leave that part of my life behind and meet my forever family, where I can share all the love and joy I’ve got to give. MY HEALTH - Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) in October 2024 - I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues. MY PERSONALITY Hi there! My name is Kerry, and I’m a sweet, soulful boy with a dashing smile that’s sure to melt your heart. With my stunning white coat and noble, graceful presence, I turn heads wherever I go – but it’s my gentle spirit and unwavering loyalty that truly make me one of a kind. I carry the calm wisdom and quiet dignity that Jindos and Poongsangs are known for, and while I might be a bit shy at first, once I feel safe and loved, I’ll be your most devoted companion. I’m looking for a forever home where I can feel truly cherished and a part of the family. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will give you all his love and affection, could that be with you? MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I really love people! I’m always happy to say hi to new folks and soak up some attention and pets. Don’t let my big size fool you – I’m actually super easy to pick up, and deep down, I’m just a giant baby. I can be a little shy at first, but give me a bit of time (and maybe a treat or two), and I’ll warm up quickly. I form strong bonds with people and really enjoy being close to my humans. I haven’t been around kids yet, but with a gentle, mindful introduction, I think I could do just fine. If you’re someone who enjoys giving love – and getting a lot in return – we’ll get along great! With Dogs: I enjoy meeting new dogs, though I tend to take things slow when it comes to playing right away. I usually get along best with calm, friendly female dogs—especially if they’re a bit smaller than me. I treat them like my little sisters and play gently. High-energy dogs who rush in too fast can be a bit overwhelming for me, and if another dog is rude or pushy, I’m not afraid to stand my ground. That’s why slow, thoughtful introductions are really important when I meet new dog friends. I can also get a little jealous when it comes to sharing attention from people, so a home that understands how to manage that would be ideal. With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend. ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I’m a happy, laid-back guy who loves nothing more than kicking back and relaxing at home—total couch potato vibes, and proud of it! Whether I’m curled up for a nap or just soaking in some love from my humans, I’m all about that chill, cozy life. I’ve got the calm, easygoing nature that Jindos and Poongsangs are known for, and I carry that gentle, serene energy wherever I go. With my polite, sweet demeanor, you could definitely call me a little gentleman—I'm always well-mannered and will become your loyal companion. TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on a leash and stay focused on my handler, making walks a breeze. I don’t guard my food from people or dogs—sharing is caring! I’m generally quiet, but if I’m in the mood for attention, I’ll give a soft bark to let you know. I prefer to go potty outdoors, and while I do get car sick, a little prep before long rides will help me feel my best. When it’s time to relax, I’m happy to chill quietly in my kennel. I’m just a laid-back, easygoing guy who enjoys life at a peaceful pace! MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment where I can learn, explore, and bring out my true sweet-self. - A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors! - A family that can shower me with love and attention. - Ideally, I’d be the only dog in the home – though this isn’t a deal-breaker, I can get a little jealous at times and tend to be selective about my doggie friends. If I do have a sibling, a smaller, well-mannered female dog would be the best match! SPECIAL NOTES I might be on the bigger side, but don’t let that intimidate you—I’m mostly made of fluffy coat, and I’m all heart! I’m a sweet, gentle giant who absolutely loves attention and cuddles. My goofiness will bring smiles and laughter to your day, guaranteed. While I’m all about spreading the love, I can get a little jealous if other dogs are stealing the spotlight. When that happens, I might give a little attention bark and nudge my face into your arms, just to make sure I’m getting my fair share of affection! I’m so ready and excited to meet my forever family and can’t wait to share all my love with you. A double leash and martingale collar are highly recommended to help manage me, especially at first, as I’m a big guy and might need a little extra control while I settle in.
