Meet Paris! Paris is a 9-year-old, 13-pound bundle of love and charm, ready to bring calm companionship and snuggles into your life. With her easygoing nature and loyal heart, Paris is the kind of dog who will quickly become your favorite part of the day—whether she’s curled up in her donut bed, trotting beside you on a short walk, or sitting quietly in your lap while you binge your favorite show. Paris may be petite, but she’s got a strong, independent spirit. She’s perfectly content to relax on her own while you work or take care of errands. But if you’re free, she’ll happily soak up all the cuddles and sunbeams she can get. She loves a quiet nap, a warm lap, and a squeaky toy or two to keep things fun. This sweet girl is also smart and adaptable. She understands phrases like “go for a walk” and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s mostly potty trained, enjoys a consistent routine, and is okay being left alone in the home. Paris is generally quiet and well-mannered—she only makes noise when she lets out a little cough, which she’s recovering from quickly. Her foster mom reports that Paris is an easy eater and not at all fussy—she enjoys cucumbers, carrots, chicken, her dry kibble, and of course, the occasional bully stick. She doesn’t mind getting her paws wiped after walks or being carried when needed. And although she’s currently living in New York City, she’s unbothered by the hustle and bustle around her. Loud noises? No big deal. Paris is a city girl through and through. Paris is also a bit of a homebody and would thrive in a peaceful, low-traffic environment. While she’s not a fit for homes with small children due to her reactivity to fast movements, she’d make a wonderful solo companion for someone seeking a quiet, affectionate, and independent dog. Health update:When we pulled Paris from the shelter, she was on the brink of death. Severely ill and barely hanging on, she was immediately hospitalized and spent two weeks at the vet receiving intensive care. She had a feeding tube for nearly three weeks and was so weak we weren’t sure she’d pull through. But Paris is a fighter—and against all odds, she made a miraculous recovery. Today, she’s regained her appetite, energy, and zest for life. She’s eating dry kibble with chicken daily and has just 10 days left of her antibiotics and cough medication. Her foster mom has been giving her meds tucked into treats or chicken with no trouble. Her vet doesn’t believe she’s contagious and has cleared her for normal activity. There are no lasting limitations, and this little survivor is finally getting the second chance she deserves. Paris doesn’t need much—just a soft bed, gentle companionship, and someone to love her the way she’s always deserved. Say “Oui” to Paris and give this miracle girl the forever home she’s been waiting for. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To adopt Paris, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2365415##
