My story

HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Low-maintenance couch potato who will enjoy hanging out and sleeping in bed with you - Still has a good amount of energy and enjoys playing with tennis balls - Enjoys meeting new people and will approach new friends with some wiggles and tail wags - Very smart, already knows sit and shake - Appears to be potty trained and crate trained, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine - Loves looking out the window and would spend all day just watching the world go by if he could - Not a super clingy or needy dog; happy to do his own thing but will seek you out when he wants some attention - Does best with a harness on walks - Looking for a teens-and-up home right now- Can be a bit socially awkward and prefers to avoid other dogs; may be happiest as the only dog in his new home (dog intro recommended) - Has been diagnosed with mild to moderate hip dysplasia in one hip (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
