My story

🐾 Meet Rafiki! 🐾 Rafiki's story started out rough—he was found as a stray in Detroit and ended up in an overcrowded shelter, severely underweight and in heartbreaking condition. But those hard days are behind him now, thanks to a loving foster family who gave him the care and comfort he desperately needed. Now, this happy, healthy boy is ready for his forever home! Rafiki is about 10 months old and currently weighs 45 lbs. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Rafiki is living his best foster life with four other dogs and children (as young as 10), and he adores them all. He has also met kids as young as 5 and did excellent! While we haven’t had a chance to cat-test him, we don't anticipate any issues—he’s shown nothing but love so far! Rafiki has perfected potty training, he is content in his crate, rides well in the car, and is always ready to play, snuggle, or show off the new tricks he’s learning. This smart cookie already knows SIT, STAY, and CIRCLE (spin for a treat!). One of his favorite things in the world? Food! Rafiki is super food-motivated, which makes training a breeze.
