My story

Bubbles and Buttercup's story is one we unfortunately see all too often. They came to us as "strays", likely having been dumped, after what clearly seems to have been years of neglect. Matted, covered in urine and feces, terrified of humans, and badly in need of medical care. Thankfully Buttercup has started receiving the TLC she so badly needed, and is realizing that humans aren't all so bad. Buttercup is shy with people and will need time to decompress and start to feel safe at home. She is learning to enjoy the good things in life; routine grooming, cozy beds, and toys! Buttercup is neutral with other dogs, and enjoys being with her "brother" Bubbles--though they do not need to be adopted together. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Buttercup home.
