Zeus

My story

Zeus is a handsome 1-2 year old Shitzu that is the sweetest boy ever. Weighing in at around 11 lbs, this gentle boy has not had the easiest life. He was found roaming the streets of the Texas/Mexico border, matted to his skin and full of fleas. Brushing his hair wasn’t even an option. He looked more like a mop head than a dog. His skin was red with it twisting into it. A good Samaritan took him in and held him until his stray hold was up; Nobody claimed him. We immediately took him to get groomed, vaccinations, and a heart worm test (which he is negative for!). He is feeling like a million bucks now and this once timid dog has become a brand new one. He is full of life and so happy without the hair weighing him down. His current foster says he is one of the best dogs. He loves to be on the couch and cuddling with his foster humans. Zeus gets along great with other dogs, and he has been introduced to cats and he has no issue with them at all. He would thrive in a home with other animals or alone. Zeus is house and crate trained. He is such a peppy and happy dog, as you can see in the video! He is very carefree and just goes with the flow. He would love someone home more often than not. If you’re looking for a calm to medium active level dog and one that just loves to be loved, look no further than Zeus. Please keep in mind he will need regular grooming. He is currently shaved fully down due to the severe matting, but his hair will grow long again.
