My story

Meet Sakura!This adorable 1-year-old, 23-pound terrier mix is as sweet as her name suggests. Sakura is gentle, smart, silly, and spirited—truly the whole package!She already knows how to sit, enjoys her crate, and is making great progress with house training. In fact, she’ll let you know when she needs to go outside! Sakura is friendly with other dogs, has lived peacefully around cats and even outdoor critters, and shows a low prey drive—making her a great fit for a multi-pet home.Playtime is her absolute favorite. She’s currently learning the ropes of fetch, return, and tug-of-war, and she’s got a mean case of the zoomies. While car rides make her a bit hesitant right now, with some gentle training and patience, she’ll be road trip ready.Sakura would thrive in an active home—either solo or with a confident, playful dog or cat. She’s a great option for a family with kids, especially if they’re ready to welcome a slightly shy but very jumpy and excitable pup.This cuddly goofball is ready to shower her forever family with love and laughter. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
