My story

Meet Firefly!This 1.5-year-old Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix has a heart as soft as his fur and a quiet spirit that’s beginning to shine. At just 30 pounds, Firefly is the perfect size for snuggles on the couch and zoomies in the yard.He was rescued alongside 14 other dogs after their owner was hospitalized. Understandably a bit shy at first, Firefly has really blossomed. He is shy around new people, but once he feels safe, his playful and affectionate nature comes to life. He’s wonderful with kids, gentle with other dogs, and politely gives cats their space. Firefly is both house and crate trained, and he’s incredibly smart and treat motivated, which makes training an absolute breeze.If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful companion who just needs a little time to bloom, Firefly could be your perfect match. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
