My story

Meet Brownie (Princess) 🍫👑Brownie, also known as Princess, is a 5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix who was owner released and is patiently waiting for her forever home. She does wonderfully with kids and gets along well with her kennel mate. We’re not sure how she feels about cats, but we do know she’s house trained — though crate training is still unknown.Sadly, Brownie often gets overlooked, but she truly deserves a chance. She might seem like the quiet or “odd one out” at first, but once you spend time with her, you’ll see she’s just a big baby who craves love and companionship.Brownie is HEART WORM NEGATIVE, UP TO DATE on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and weighs 65 pounds. She’s ready for someone to see the gentle, loving dog she really is and take her home. 💕Brownie's Adoption fee is $83 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
