My story

Meet Cognac ACCT-A-220623! Cognac is a 4-year-old female who came in as a stray on 5/18. The finder noted that she was “friendly, shy”. Medical Notes: Per an exam on 5/21: “QAR, normal mentation. Ears clean AU, cropped ear tip. Lenses clear OU, no ocular discharge, mydriasis OU, absent PLR OU, unreliable menace OU. No nasal discharge. MMs light pink and moist, teeth clean. No M/A ausculted, femoral pulses S/S, BV sounds bilaterally across chest, eupneic. Abdomen palpates softly and without pain, no organomegaly appreciated. Recently altered female with incisional site healing unremarkably. BCS 5/9, appropriate muscling. Ambulatory x4, normal gait and posture, full ortho/neuro exam NP. Clean coat, no visible ectoparasites. Fundic examination: No evidence of retinal detachment or hypertensive lesions. Assessment: Markedly decreased to absent visual capacity OU with absent PLR and unreliable menace r/o deficit along the neurologic visual pathway (optic neuritis, intracranial lesion, infectious)” Per an exam on 5/18: “Came in for not eating, sick , odd behavior.
