My story

CALLIOPE is an attractive young adult short-haired black brown tabby kitty with white fur in a tuxedo pattern. She exudes a Zen-like calm. She likes to play with her mouse toys and small balls but does not care to engage in rough housing or play with other cats. She much prefers one-on-one time with her human. She may take a while to warm up in a new environment but will seek out affection and pets once she is comfortable. Calliope thrives in a slower paced environment where she can quietly observe the world from a distance. She would do well in a smaller apartment or home. She has no desire to escape to the outdoors, preferring to be safe and warm inside. She was surrendered to CRAN after being rescued as an abandoned stray and cared for by a kindly neighbor. She would love a home as an only cat, where she will be appreciated for her gentle and loving nature. CALLIOPE has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Calliope in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
