What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.My adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a member of the public! My foster writes:If you looked up the phrase "best friend" in the dictionary, you'd find a picture of Little Bear! A volunteer favorite, Little Bear is an incredibly smart, loving, and fun furry friend. Little Bear is house trained and absolutely loves to sleep in. No need for super early morning walks - this cuddly boy loves a late start and a lazy morning. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, Little Bear is your guy. He's a superstar on leash-always walking loosely, checking in, and ignoring distractions like dogs, people, or even squirrels. He simply strolls on by! All this boy wants is to hang out with his favorite people, whether it's on an outdoor patio, at the park, or on a hike. He was great in the car, too-settles right in for the ride.Little Bear is very food-motivated, loves to learn, and is super eager to please making training a breeze. He already knows "sit" "stay" and "down" and is very quickly learning "place" "come" and "leave it." In just a week, he's learned to wait at the curb before crossing the street and go straight to his bed when told "place."When he's not out and about and having fun, Little Bear loves to sit with me on the couch, toy nearby, with his paws and head in my lap. He is super friendly and took to his foster parents quickly. Little Bear does get very excited to see people and sometimes jumps up for attention. Because of this, he'd do best in a home with adults or older kids. He's already making great progress on learning polite greetings.Little Bear would thrive in a home that gives him plenty of love, cuddles, and some mental enrichment (puzzle toys and long lasting chews are his favorite!). He's okay being left alone for a few hours and settles nicely when his people head out. Whether you're looking for a gentle couch buddy or a hiking companion, Little Bear is ready to be your new best friend.A volunteer writes: I love taking this Little Bear out for walks. Greeting me full of excitement and wiggly-waggles, he knows he's about to get some of his favorite things. His tail goes into happy-wag mode as he explores the street with his nose; and when I call him over, he's quickly at my side, ready for his usual backrubs. He does these slow, soft wiggles and butt-shakes, while raising his back to make sure I don't miss a spot. For now, I've been keeping our interactions brief since LB has at times jumped up on his handlers when feeling over-stimulated Primary Color: Gray Secondary Color: White Weight: 69 Age: 3yrs 5mths 3wks
