Adoption Fee: $650 Meet Gemini — The Last Star of the Litter, Ready to Shine At 14 weeks old, Gemini may be the last pup waiting for her forever home, but she’s certainly not least. This Lab-Whippet mix beauty is the spitting image of her mama, GenAI— a social, loving 30 lb girl who’s already found her happy ending. Now it’s Gemini’s turn. GenAI had the thin legs of a Whippet, and her daughter does too. She's still growing but remains petite and will likely stay under 30 lbs. Like many black-coated pups, Gemini is facing the very real hurdle of black dog syndrome, which means potential adopters often overlook her for flashier colors. But trust us— this girl is the total package wrapped in a sleek, shiny coat. Gemini starts her morning between 7:00–8:00 AM with a romp in the yard and spends her day alternating between playful bursts of zoomies and quality time trailing her humans around the house like a fuzzy little shadow. She hasn’t quite figured out stairs yet, so downstairs is her kingdom—especially the kitchen, where her snack radar is finely tuned. When she first arrived at her foster home, Gemini was quiet and unsure. Now, she’s blossomed into a loyal sidekick who thrives on being near her people. She may not be a lap dog, but she’s always down to lounge on the couch beside you, soaking in the comfort of your company. Gemini is curious, clever, and shows remarkable potential—her foster even toyed with the idea of training her as a service dog because of her quick learning and natural boundaries. She thrives with mental stimulation and would love a home where training is part of the daily routine. She already excels at learning tricks and is eager to keep proving how sharp she is. While she hasn’t yet had the chance to meet kids, she’s had one memorable encounter— with the family cat. Let’s just say Gemini would prefer a feline-free household (she thinks cats might actually be small dragons). She’s a classic teething puppy and will need plenty of toys and chews on hand. She’s good about not biting hard, though, and is responsive to redirection. She’s potty-pad-trained, enjoys her crate setup, and while she’s not quite housetrained yet, she’s making steady progress. Her ideal home? One filled with people— especially people who are around often and excited to help her reach her full potential. She’d thrive in a family that’s committed to consistent training, playtime, and lots of love. If you're looking for a smart, loyal pup with a heart of gold and a brain to match, Gemini is your girl. Let’s make sure this star doesn’t keep waiting in the wings. Her forever family is out there— maybe it’s you. July 3, 2025, 7:59 pm
