My story

Meet Sterling – the gentle giant with a heart full of hope. Sterling’s story is heartbreaking, but his spirit remains bright. He was found starving, chained up, and forgotten—yet he never let his circumstances steal his sweetness. Rescued just in time, Sterling is now ready for a future full of love, security, and adventure. Despite everything he’s endured, Sterling greets the world with quiet affection. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’ll gently rub against you, just asking for a little love. His soulful eyes, soft coat, and sweet nature make it impossible not to fall for him. Sterling is great with other dogs and would love to have a playful canine friend to share his days with. He’s an active boy who enjoys running and stretching his long legs but also knows how to settle down and relax when it’s time to unwind. At the shelter, he’s been a model guest—clean, respectful, and easygoing. He’s familiar with crates and is working on his leash skills, getting better every day as he discovers how wonderful the world can be when you’re safe and loved. Sterling is now searching for a patient and kind foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can continue his journey to healing. If you open your heart and home to him, you’ll gain a loyal companion who will be forever grateful for the second chance.
