My story

SmokeyI recently moved from the Indianapolis area to the suburbs of Fishers to the HSHC. This is quite a nice facility, and I was grateful to be transferred here. I am a 7-years-old female, Domestic Long-Haired, black cat with a white spot on my chest and stomach. On May 21, the medical staff determined that although I had some discharge from my cloudy left eye, I could see out of my eye. Drops were prescribed, and I was sent to live in a foster home to rest and recover. I have been taking my medicine and my foster mom (FM) feels my eye has improved. FM told the interviewer lady (IL) that she enjoys having me stay with her. She says I am a friendly girl who gives head butts to solicit petting sessions! Although I am not a dedicated lap cat, I enjoy sitting close to her. I have a special love of fishing pole toys with feathers on the string. Those are my favorite types of toys so far. FM was a little surprised to see that I had only three teeth. No one knows why. Because I was rescued from a rescue, my background information is a big mystery. I was also spayed when I checked in, so I may have had an owner at one time. Who knows what my life has been until now? However, as long as I am given wet canned food, I don`t miss having teeth. The IL found me a delightful kitty who appreciated petting and affection. I hope my story helps me find an interested adopter! 6-10-25
