Tia

My story

Tia is a tri-color Miniature Dachshund with a shy and gentle personality. She’s very timid around new people and environments and needs time to feel safe. While she’s not quick to trust, she does enjoy calm companionship once she settles in. She would do best in a quiet home with patient adopters who can help her build confidence at her own pace. Tia is still working on her potty training and could use a refresher once she’s in a consistent home environment. A steady routine will help her feel more secure. Tia would do well with older, calmer children who understand how to move slowly and gently around her. She’s not the type to jump into your lap right away, but with time and care, she could become a loyal and loving companion. Tia would do well with gentle dogs. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
