My story

Oh Mickey, he's so fine, he's so fine he blows our minds -- hey Mickey! 🤩🐾🎶 At 7 years young, Mickey came to us through no fault of his own as his previously family could no longer care for him. This doesn't deter him from being the 100% good boy that he is, however -- instead, he continues to enjoy playing in our play yards, making friends with staff and volunteers alike! 🥰 Mickey is a social gentleman who gets along with both cats and children (he's a genuine family man through and through!). As for other dogs, he doesn't mind their presence as long as they are also calmer and low-energy (those young puppy whippersnappers can be overwhelming for this zen boy with all their jumping and pushing 😵). Mickey also has impeccable house manners (though like any gentleman, he doesn't boast or brag 😉). He is both crate-trained and housebroken, and walks great on leash. He doesn't ask for much: a good round or two of fetching ball, a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or yard, a nap on a comfy blanket, and pets from a loving hand are all ingredients to create his perfect day. ❤ With his infectious smile and gentle, calm demeanor (with a sprinkle of playfulness -- age is just a number!), Mickey is ready to complete any family looking for a good-natured four-legged companion. 💌
