My story

MEDICAL DEADLINE5PM Tuesday 07/22/25Available for foster, rescue or adoption Name: ConnieAnimal ID: A870894Age: 4 yearsWeight: 53 lbs.Web Link: 24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A870894 About: Connie is on a medical deadline for her suspected osteosarcoma diagnosis. Osteosarcoma is an aggressive form of bone cancer. Connie has been limping and through testing we have ruled out other options. While additional test and surgeries can be done to determine the type of cancer, we NEED this girl in a foster home and not the shelter to give her the best remaining days and care. Connie came to us as a stray back in March and has not yet gone to a foster home. Volunteers have taken her out on day trips so we at least know that she is a very sweet girl! They say:“Connie is a shy girl at first, but when she warms up she enjoys laying down for belly scratches. She enjoys head scratches as well! She did great on leash and in the car. Connie is a sweet girl who loves being loved. She also LOVES snacks, especially burgers!”“Connie spent 6 hours with me today at my house and she is a sweetie! She wasnt so sure about getting into the car but let me pick her up without complaints and put her in the car and then she laid quietly for the drives. She was comfortable in a home setting and relaxed so much that she was able to enjoy a couple nice long naps away from the stress and noise of the shelter. She loves to press up against you and get all the hugs, pets and scritches. She enjoys playing with all the stuffies and especially the balls, and is working on the retrieving part. She loves being outside running around sniffing and lizard hunting. She was curious about the pool but decided today wasn’t the day to go all in. Looking for a sweet, playful girl who also enjoys quiet, chill time? Connie is your girl!”During playgroups with other dogs, Connie was social and tolerant of the other dogs, even added in some play! We recommend a dog intro since Connie can be overwhelmed by them at first. Adoption/Foster Process:All interested parties must meet the dog at PACC before their deadline. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with. Once introductions are complete and if the IP has decided this dog may be a good fit, the process is as follows:Interested parties:•Must visit PACC before the 5pm Tuesday 07/22/25 deadline to meet with an adopt

If you have any questions or would like to adopt CONNIE*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
