My story

Brian is a young pup who isn't confident in his surroundings. It wasn't easy to get him outside because he and his cagemate both hunkered down on the slip lead, but with encouragement, treats, and compassionate patience, they eventually made it to the big world outside of their kennel. Once Brian was out, he loves running and exploring the interaction pen! He seems to be very housebroken which is heartbreaking when you think of him holding it for so long between outings. He wants so desperately to trust, and with love and patience, he'll learn that he can. In the short time he was out with me today, he grew braver and braver. This fella needs someone to show him that humans mean love and fun! Dogs with minor insecurities tend to be some of the most loyal companions ever once they truly let themselves trust. If you're looking for a soulpup, you have a good chance at finding one in Brian. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brian, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
