My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $850 Meet Zip, Zap, & Zop – The Improv Trio You Never Knew You Needed!  Age: 8 weeks old Breed(s): Poodle(ish) Mixes (Emphasis on the “ish”) Weight Range: 2.5lbs to “still somehow the big sibling” Straight outta the Cardboard Comedy Club (aka a box someone left at the shelter), meet Zip, Zap, and Zop—a dynamic trio of puppy chaos, curly coats, and comedic timing. While we can’t confirm whether they’re actually Poodle mixes or just very ambitious mop heads, we can confirm they’re dog-friendly, cat-friendly, human-obsessed, and ridiculously adorable. These three siblings are starring in their own buddy comedy, and it’s equal parts action, affection, and a lot of tripping over each other. While they technically share DNA, they couldn’t be more different in size, style, and comedic delivery. Let’s break it down: Zap – The Big-Little Brother With Lab Energy Zap is the older brother who went off to college for one semester and came back a few pounds heavier and full of opinions. He’s tipping the scales at a whopping 4lbs, which still makes him look like a linebacker compared to his 2.5lb sibling, Zip. Zap has the Mini-Lab look, a Poodle’s smarts, and the appetite of a vacuum cleaner. He’s the leader of the pack, the first to explore, the first to find the treat bag, and definitely the first to announce snack time by jumping on whoever’s closest. He’s outgoing, playful, food-motivated, and full of that “let’s go on an adventure!” spirit. Just don’t be surprised if that adventure ends with him passed out in your lap like the world’s most adorable weighted blanket. Special skills: Food radar, sibling-wrestling champion, lap napper extraordinaire. Zip – Tiny, Mighty, and Always Mic'd Up Zip is small enough to fit in your hoodie pocket but has the attitude of a caffeinated squirrel who just read a Tony Robbins book. Weighing in at a mighty 2.5lbs, Zip is spunky, sassy, and probably plotting world domination in between cuddle sessions. He’s smart, curious, and occasionally whiny (he calls it “expressing his artistic truth”). He’s the kind of pup who will start a game of tag, lose immediately due to size constraints, and still celebrate like he won. Oh, and he’s a total snuggle bug when he’s not trying to climb your face like it’s Everest. Special skills: Pocket-sized loyalty, zoomie-induced teleportation, dramatic sighs for attention. Zop – The Fluff Queen of Chilltown Zop is the quiet genius of the group—the cuddly, sweet, go-with-the-flow fluffball who somehow always ends up looking the most photogenic. She’s mellow, affectionate, and would very much like to be on your lap. Always. Forever. Even if you’re in the bathroom. She’s got a non-shedding coat, movie-star good looks, and the vibe of a golden retriever trapped in a Poodle cloud. She follows her siblings’ lead but brings the calm, balanced energy this chaos crew didn’t know it needed. She’s basically the group’s therapist. Special skills: Lap melting, emotional support fluff, expert-level nuzzling. All Three Are: Dog, cat, and people friendly Socialized, silly, and smushy Ready to turn your house into a puppy playground Expert nap-takers (once they’ve destroyed the toy bin) Certified Good Puppies™ If you're ready to bring a little improv comedy, endless snuggles, and puppy-powered joy into your life, Zip, Zap, or Zop might just be your soulmate(s). Whether you want a couch cuddle queen, a snack-hunting lab-in-disguise, or a tiny sidekick who fits in your bag, this trio brings the fun, the floof, and the feels. Apply now before they're booked for a Netflix special.May 22, 2025, 10:28 pm
