My story

Mimi is a darling, 2-year-old Tortie who came to HART earlier this summer from one of our animal rescue partners here in Maine. A calm and sweet little cat, she took a little while to get used to the shelter and her new feline roommates, but she has settled in well and is now ready for her next adventure: a forever home! Mimi has been diagnosed with a significant heart murmur and cardiac disease, and her condition is being managed with medication and periodic cardiac testing, including echocardiograms. Our Medical Team will require that her adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian and the ability to provide the medication, monitoring, and care that she needs.
