Mushtaaq

My story

Mushtaaq is a curious and affectionate cat. As soon as he came out of the carrier, he started exploring his new space without hesitation. Most of the time, he’s asleep on the stool or the couch. When he’s awake, he likes to follow his human around or rub against them for attention. He’s calm and easy to live with — he doesn’t bite, doesn’t knock things over, and vacuums don’t bother him. In fact, he seems to enjoy watching the Roomba do its thing. He’s also smart enough to know where his food is kept and occasionally tries to open the cabinet himself. Mushtaaq is (almost) learning to sit on command. He’s happy to let you pet or handle him—as long as you offer treats in return. Mushtaaq clearly has feelings for BLÅHAJ (the iconic Ikea shark plushie). We don’t ask questions. Note: BLÅHAJ is not up for adoption. At night, he likes to sit by the window and watch the world go by. Mushtaaq is a low-maintenance cat with a few funny quirks. He’d do well in a calm home with someone who enjoys quiet company and the occasional follow-around. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home. This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes.May 23, 2025, 10:21 am
