My story

Loki is currently only available as a foster-to-adopt placement due to a medical need. He has bilateral medial luxating patellas (grade 4 in both knees) and will require surgery on each leg. To be considered, interested adopters must first complete an adoption application. If approved and you are comfortable with the medical needs and recovery time, they will sign our foster agreement and pre-adoption contract, and pay the $200 pre-adoption fee. Dallas Pets Alive will cover the cost of the necessary surgeries through our primary veterinary partner, Mazieâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Mission in Plano. Once medical care is complete, the adoption can be finalized. All HSDC, Humane Society of Dallas County, adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
