My story

Hi 👋🏻 there! I'm Carmello (but my friends call me Mello!). I'm a 4-month-old toy poodle boy and bundle of joy weighing in at a whopping 4.5 pounds! I may be tiny, but I've got a HUGE personality and an even bigger heart.♥️ I’m all PUPPY - loving, kissy, playful, but I'm a little different. When I was very young, I had an accident that left my back legs paralyzed and there is no treatment. But here's the thing: I don't let that slow me down one bit! I zoom around the yard using my front legs like a furry little race car. It's actually pretty awesome—watch my video! And once I get a little bigger, I will start using a set of wheels and then you won’t be able to keep up with me! 😂 Right now though my foster mom takes me on stroller rides, and let me tell you, I'm basically a celebrity! 🌟 People stop to say hi wherever we go, and I love meeting everyone. I'm great with kids and other dogs and I would love to have a doggie sibling. I haven’t met any cats yet but I’m a friendly guy and I think we could be friends. I'm already crate-trained and potty-pad trained, and I'm pretty smart about letting my humans know when I need to go out at night. What I love most is being with my people. I'll follow you around the house because wherever you are is where I want to be. I'm an excellent cuddling companion and the best car passenger you'll ever have—I love adventures from my cozy booster seat! I'm looking for a family who recognizes that I'm just a normal puppy who happens to get around a little differently.
