My story

Officially introducing Princess S’mores and Prince Marshmallow 👑 🍫 These 2 perfect sweet “young seniors” are sweet enough to put you in a diabetic coma 🤤. Tiny Princess is an 8 year old Maltese and her “big brother” is a 20lbs 9 year old Shih Tzu/cocker spaniel mix. They were surrendered to a crowded county shelter due to housing issues and no fault of their own. They get along with other dogs but do love and seek out each other so we would love for them to find a castle together. Princess is a Velcro dog who loves to be with her people, and Marshmallow follows her around adoringly and copies her. Princess wasn’t spayed and had the beginning of a potentially deadly uterine infection so got spayed just in time! Marshmallow was a matted mess with overgrown nails that were making it painful for him to walk, but he gave hugs and kisses while we were grooming him and is a sweet gentle soul. Both are non-shedding and require regular grooming. We know it’s always harder to place 2 dogs together but are really hoping this adorable odd couple can find someone who needs double the love in their life 💜 Email njwoof@cs.com to meet our adorable duo in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
