My story

Mister Erik might seem a bit formal at first - this handsome 40-pound fellow tends to be a little shy when meeting new people. But after just a minute, he drops all formalities and he's happy to be called Erik, Rik, Rikky or whatever his forever family wants to call him. Just don't call him late to dinner - he loves food! And once he warms up, that's it and he loves you forever, unconditionally.Found as a stray, Mister Erik's background is a mystery, but his foster family says that Erik is solidly housetrained and crate trained. Erik opts for his crate at night and settles right in, where he sleeps soundly. Then, first thing in the morning, he heads right outside to potty like the good boy he is.This sweet, playful pup has young dog energy and absolutely loves going for walks, hikes, or runs. He's great with the other dog in his foster home, giving her space when she needs it but always leaving the play invitation wide open. Erik is highly trainable, takes treats politely, and is quickly learning his manners, taking correction like a champ. He also loves to play in the hose, chomping the water and showing off his natural athleticism. Erik would thrive with active people who can match his enthusiasm for life and appreciate his perfect blend of initial politeness and boundless affection. He's ready to trade his mysterious past for a bright future with a family who will love his sweet, playful spirit and help him continue blossoming into the confident, loving companion he's meant to be.
