Shrek! Goofy Guy!

My story

Meet our sleek and handsome boy named Shrek! Shrek is about 10 months old, and we think his is a Husky mixed with some kind of Shepherd. Shrek is yet another dog who has been passed around on Facebook as a free pet. His most recent owner had him for about a month before surrendering him to our shelter due to landlord issues. He has this beautiful blue eyes that really stand out. Shrek can be a little skittish at first when meeting new people, but he is a sweet boy! He may take a couple meet and greets to get to know him, but he is worth it! He is showing his playful side with us and he enjoys being outside in our backyard running around. He has also now discovered his love of the kiddie pool. Shrek is a young and active guy who would love an active family! Shrek lived with other dogs and he was fine with them. He also lived with cats and he was fine with them as well. He is very playful with cats and will chase them a little, but he is not aggressive towards them. A dog savvy cat who wants to play would be fine with him. Shrek can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. Shrek really loves other dogs and likes to play with them. We think he would do best in a home with at least one more playful dog to bring him out of his shell. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
