My story

Cuddly, Mellow, Curious Who has an adorable stumpy tail, the cutest bunny hop and loves to cuddle? Mango Lasse! This playful, loving girl has a quirky personality that will keep you on your toes and a sweetness that will steal your heart. Mango Lasse has so much fun running around and playing with pretty much whatever she discovers. She is calm and very affectionate, with a delicate soul. We think maybe someone let her down in the past, because she has separation anxiety. She prefers being with her humans to being alone and likes to have a predictable routine. She wants to feel confident that her person will always be there for her! Before Mango Lasse was welcomed into the loving fold of APA, we think she sustained trauma to her sides because she is very sensitive to being touched on them. But, she loves getting head pets, they make her so very happy! Mango Lasse has some challenges due to her spine being shorter than normal because she has Manx syndrome, a condition resulting from abnormal development of the spine. She is unable to reach certain areas to clean herself, which is frustrating for a kitty...you know how cats like to keep tidy. That’s when you can be her hero by giving her the wipes she needs to feel and stay clean! An occasional sanitary trim also makes things easier. No hair stylist experience required, just gentleness and love! Mango Lasse enjoys eating her wet food. So much so that she sometimes ends up with it on her cute little face! Nothing that a quick wipe from her favorite human won’t fix. Think of her as a furry toddler, but without the tantrums. She takes a few meds to keep her tummy feeling good and to help her relax…a chill pill! You can just mix them into her food and you're all set. Mango Lasse’s ideal home would be with patient, caring adults who are willing to dedicate the time required to take care of her needs. She is super affectionate and would do best with someone who is at home most of the time to reassure her that she is safe and loved. A feeling that everyone longs for and deserves.
