My story

Hi, I'm Leo - A Gentle Explorer Looking for My Forever Home I might be a little shy when we first meet, but please don't take it personally - I'm still learning that people can be kind and safe. I was surrendered because, well... I've been known to slip away on little adventures. What can I say? I've got a curious spirit and a love for exploring! That's why I'll need a secure yard and someone who understands that I'm a bit of a flight risk until I feel really at home. New people can make me nervous, but with patience and a calm environment, I start to come out of my shell. I'm not super cuddly right away, but once I trust you, I'll quietly come up for a pet or two - just enough to let you know I'm starting to feel safe. One thing I do know for sure: I love other dogs! They help me feel more confident, and I'd be really happy to have a doggy friend in my new home. I'd also be okay with older, respectful kids who understand that I need time and space to feel comfortable. If you're the kind of person who can go slow, offer a safe place, and cheer me on as I learn to trust and thrive, I think we could be something really special. I'm ready when you are.
