My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:3With her Lassie-like looks and quiet spirit, 61-pound Giselle is a sensitive soul navigating the shelter environment with cautious curiosity. But beneath her uncertainty is a gentle, observant dog who wants to connect—she just needs a little more time and space to feel safe.  Giselle walks well on leash, is polite around other dogs, and has started warming up to familiar people with soft licks and tail wags. She'll thrive in a calm, patient home that can offer slow introductions to new people and situations, and allow her to decompress at her own pace.
