Meet Amelia Bedelia – Gentle, Goofy, and Ready for a New Beginning 🌿💞 After spending 322 days as part of a large cruelty case, Amelia Bedelia is finally free — and she’s ready to find a home full of patience, kindness, and love. Amelia is a shy and sensitive husky mix who’s been through a lot in her young life. At Baypath, she formed a special bond with Junie B. Jones, and the two have helped each other begin to trust, play, and feel safe again. While we know it would be incredibly difficult to find a home for them together, if someone is open to welcoming both girls, we’d love to hear from you! That said, we’re actively looking for adopters for each of them — as long as they’ll have a confident canine sibling in the home to help them thrive. Amelia is still learning to feel comfortable with being pet, but she’s full of affection in her own way — she’ll gently offer you kisses to show she trusts you, and nothing beats the joy of seeing her tail wag when she sees someone she knows and loves. She’s also a very talkative husky and has lots of opinions to share! Whether it’s her adorable woo-woos to greet you or her commentary on mealtime and walks, she’ll keep you smiling with her sweet and silly chatter. Amelia loves to play and will happily chase and chew on her favorite toys — though she leaves the toy-carrying prance to her best friend Junie. She absolutely lives for chicken and cheese, which are the quickest ways to her heart. She enjoys quiet walks in the woods and feels most at ease when exploring nature with someone she trusts. She’ll need a calm, consistent home with a fenced-in yard, a patient family, and a confident dog companion to help her continue blossoming. Amelia may be slow to open up, but she has so much love to give. With time, understanding, and a soft place to land, this sweet girl will make a wonderful, loyal companion. 💗💕
