My story

We’re excited to share that Chipper is now in a loving foster home where he’s absolutely thriving! This 3-year-old sweetheart has blossomed into the happy, silly, affectionate boy we always knew he could be. Chipper is dog social and people social, making friends wherever he goes. He’s got the best mix of puppy energy for playtime and adventures—beach trips, hiking, you name it—but he also knows how to settle and relax like a pro. He’s learned to play fetch (and he’s pretty good at it!), has a few basic commands down, and is eager to learn more. Chipper wants nothing more than to make his people happy. Housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, and fully vetted, Chipper is ready to bring joy to his forever family. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, snuggling up after a day of fun, or showing off his playful side, he’s pure delight. Chipper has the heart of an adventurer, the soul of a best friend, and the charm of a dog who’s ready to love big. He was left behind in an apartment—abandoned but not alone, curled up beside his cat friend who has since been adopted. Now Chipper is waiting for his second chance, but time is running out. In truth, he’s already out of time. Despite everything, Chipper’s heart is open. He’s social, affectionate, and has done beautifully passing by other dogs and meeting new people. He’s one of those rare souls who still chooses to trust. The shelter is overwhelming for him. What breaks our hearts is that he does well outside his run, but refuses to go back in.
