He was left behind in an apartment—abandoned but not alone, curled up beside his cat friend who has since been adopted. Now Chipper is waiting for his second chance, but time is running out. In truth, he’s already out of time. Despite everything, Chipper’s heart is open. He’s social, affectionate, and has done beautifully passing by other dogs and meeting new people. He’s one of those rare souls who still chooses to trust. The shelter is overwhelming for him. What breaks our hearts is that he does well outside his run, but refuses to go back in. He knows what’s at stake. And so do we. Chipper doesn’t need another hold. He doesn’t need “interest.” He needs a committed adopter today. If you’re reading this, please don’t scroll past him. Be the person who shows Chipper that being left behind isn’t where his story ends.
