My story

Hi there, we’re Smokey and Dottie — two big, handsome bonded brothers on the hunt for our forever retirement home. We’ve been together for over 6 years, and we absolutely adore each other. Seriously, we’re rarely apart. You’ll often find us snuggled up together, grooming each other, or just quietly soaking up the sun side by side. We’re the very definition of best friends (with extra floof). Smokey here — I’m the big, hunky gray guy with dreamy green eyes. I’m a little more reserved, but once I feel safe, I love gentle pets and cozy nap spots. My brother Dottie, the gray-and-white fellow with charming spots, is the braver one. He’s still shy, but he’s got a soft spot for belly rubs and chin scratches — and when you start petting him, he lets out the cutest little chirps. It’s basically his way of saying, “Thank you, kind human.” We both melt for Churu treats and wet food — that’s the secret to our hearts. We’re calm, quiet boys looking for the same in a home: low-key vibes, soft beds, sunny windows, and some patient, loving humans who understand that trust takes time. We’re not lap cats (yet), but we have so much love to give once we feel safe. We also appreciate a good scratcher — both the upright kind and the ones we can lounge on while we scratch. If you have a peaceful home and two open hearts, we just might be your perfect pair. Let’s grow old together, with naps, treats, and quiet moments. Come meet us any day between 1-5pm to see if we are the right fit! We are great with other cats. We have excellent litter box habits. Our new perfect family NEEDS to that understands it WILL take us a while to adjust at first and we WILL hide as I adjust. Give us time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell - we really are wonderful cats. We are fully vetted: neutered, FIV&FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all our vaccinations. We require an indoor only home and as with all cats - absolutely no declawing.
