My story

HER 'ELEVATOR' WORKS GREAT  DOB 1/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m April, and I’m a cute, gentle, and playful Bombay mix gal who has a HEART full of LOVE and curiosity. I haven’t ever met a stranger, and a hooman’s lap can be one of my favorite resting spots. The minute Foster Meowmy touches me, I turn on my purr motor and display my “elevator butt” to show her my trust and affection. I enjoy the cat treadmill as well as interactively playing with Foster Meowmy when she waves the feather wand-toy. Loving as I am, I’m not “needy,” and when there’s no hooman to keep me company, I can happily entertain myself by basking in a patch of sunlight on the window sill or catch a quiet nap in a shady corner of the house. Foster Meowmy found me as a friendly pregnant stray at a school near her community-cat feeding station. Putting two and two together, she assumes that I was abandoned by my owner when they moved out of an adjacent apartment complex. I'll never tell, but boy howdy, was I relieved when she brought me to the safe haven of my foster home, and I quickly adapted to indoor life again. As much as I adore hoomans, I’m indifferent to the resident cats, and Foster Meowmy thinks I’d be fine with a cat-friendly dog with proper (slow) introductions. Now that I’m permanently retired from motherhood, I’m ready to bring my love and playful companionship to my forever family. Could that be with you? My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU! I can’t wait to become your new best friend. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a young gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break you cherished accessories! HOPE ID 25-0408-D002 If you are interested in April and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. If you have any questions or would like to adopt April #your-new-bestie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
