My story

Vada may be young, but her story already carries so much heart. She was found tied up with a handwritten note from her elderly owner who could no longer care for her due to illness and hardship. In that note, her previous guardian wrote of a puppy who is playful, loving, and kind, and after spending time with her, we can wholeheartedly agree. Vada walks beautifully on leash, preferring to take her time and sniff the world around her. In a quiet room, Vada can be a bit nervous at first but she quickly seeks comfort, gently placing her front paws on your lap and looking up with those soft, expressive eyes of hers. This baby girl is incredibly gentle and patient. She knows how to sit for treats and takes them like a perfect little lady. Vada allowed full handling, soaking up cuddles like they were everything she needed — and probably everything she’s been missing. She even broke into a few zoomies and short bursts of play, reminding us she’s still just a puppy who’s ready to learn, grow, and thrive. Vada is reportedly potty and pad trained, and has lived peacefully with cats and dogs. She would blossom in a home that understands the needs of a young pup and can offer patience, love, and security. She was easy to secure and wagged her tail softly as she came out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally – likes to sniff around HANDLING : In the room, Vada was curious but nervous of the bigger objects in the room. She scoot zoomed over to me and propped her front paws on my stomach. She was very gentle and sweet and allowed all handling. I cuddled her for a bit as she allowed me to touch all over. She sat for a treat patiently and took it gently from me. She was very sweet and engaged in some short lived play, running around the room with me.
