My story

Meet Louie, an 11-year-old tan mixed breed with a heart full of love and a soft spot for treats. This sweet senior is social, gentle, and easygoing, handling new places and new faces with calm curiosity. He already knows how to sit and is more than happy to show off his skills—especially if snacks are involved. Louie has a history of getting along with other dogs, though he seems to prefer calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. He may do best as the only dog in the home or with a mellow canine friend who’s content to simply coexist. He hasn’t lived with cats or children, so any introductions should be slow and thoughtful. A home with older, respectful kids could be a good match. Most of all, Louie is looking for a peaceful, quiet place to enjoy his golden years—a soft bed, a few treats, and a person to share his time with.
