My story

A volunteer writes:I had to meet LeeLee. She was at her door, one arm stuck out, looking intensely at me and meowing gently. What a pretty gal, petite, a bit thin, dressed in a semi long hair tuxedo, white mittens and boots and clearly lactating. But where are the kids? LeeLee was really happy when I opened her den, leaning, head bunting and purring, staying in place and never trying to leave  our petting spot(see her video). She enjoyed treats and some fancy food but company was much more fulfilling to her. Leelee was  rescued from the street with her now self sufficient seven babies. As she was too protective(understandably) of her brood, her very short term owners decided to bring her to the care center. LeeLee was found to be FeLV+, a condition that might shorten her lifespan(information about FeLV  can be obtained from the adoption counselors) and calls for her to be a single cat in a household or share the life of other FeLV+ kitties. When you think about it, nobody, even super healthy, knows what tomorrow will bring and not everybody wants to have more than one pet...So, why not to give adorable LeeLee a chance at being cared for, loved and finally feel safe with a loving family? LeeLee is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.9 Age: 2yrs 0mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lee Lee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
