Sonny

My story

Sonny enjoys galloping around the yard and playing hide and seek in the bushes. His youthful, uncoordinated antics are a must-see. He is sometimes as graceful as a gazelle and at other times looks like a hippo in mud! When he tires of play, he loves to stretch out on your lap and get belly rubs as he snoozes. Sonny is a big puppy and will be a big dog. He has a huge personality to match his huge size. His mantra is "I never met a toy I didn't like." He was born on April 8, 2025, along with his sister, Cher. They were born in the backseat of a vehicle and came into AARF care with their mother, Cinnamon, the next day. Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the backyard at the AARF house (302 Thurston St, W-S). Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Remember that we do not adopt more than a 45-minute radius from our facility in Winston Salem.
