What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.A volunteer writes: Lexington is a gray tabby beauty discovered all by her lonesome on the Upper West Side. Her history is a mystery, but we're less concerned with where she's been than the forever home we want to help her find. It would be great if Lexington's new pet parents know that some cats can be shy and standoffish, as Lexington seems to be, and need time to warm up to new people and surroundings. Hopefully they will help bring out her affection side, which she's starting to reveal via petting sessions by Care Center staffers. We'd love it if they appreciated her shy, calm personality as well. Other requirements would be a desire to indulge her with toys, treats, and the security of knowing she'll never be on the streets alone again. Think this description fits you?
