My story

You've never known love till you I have gotten a chance to know this little lady. Meet Maple - a young lady that is so desperate to find her new best friend and forever family. Maple is the sister to Pumpkin - who has already been adopted. If you are familiar with how much of a friendly love bug Pumpkin is, Maple is her IDENTICAL twin. Maple, Pumpkin, and some of our other rescue kitties, came to us as kittens (less than a year old) and were either sick with a URI (think like a cold but for cats) or were injured, sometimes both! What has been true about every kitten we have rescued from this location is that they are all super loving, you truly "couldn't go wrong" with any of them! Maple has been with us the longest and just now cleared for adoption as she was the sickest when we took her in. With Maple's case, her Upper Respiratory Infection was severe. For some time, her eyes were almost consistently closed because of the illness, couldn't breathe well, and you can tell she didnt feel good. Despite how bad she felt, she purred through it all. She was always so happy to be around her foster and to be held and loved on. Now, Maple is well over the hump with her URI and is no longer contagious and feeling terrible! The "but" to that is because of how severe her case was, she still has some lingering but benign symptoms. These have lessened over time and its very possible they will go away completely, her body just needs the time to get back the way it needs to be. The symptoms she has ultimately is a little bit of watery eyes. Some days they water, some days they do not. It is likely when she transitions to her new home, her eyes will water from the stress of the transition, but will calm down as she adjusts. Maple does not require any special needs or need to be a solo kitty. In fact, she loves other animals! Not only does Maple LOVE people, she also really loves animals! She is eager to be their friend, but doesn't understand why they dont want to be hers if she ever comes across one that doesn't. The perfect home for Maple would be one who is ready to embrace the loving lady that she is. Maple loves to be held and petted. She would love to sleep in bed with her people and spend all the time she could with them. When she sees you, she will happily run up to you and chirp to let you know how excited she is to see you. She isn't a picky eater, loves to play and loves to nap. She is currently fostered in a home with other cats and dogs and does wonderful.
