My story

Sissy is a dainty little lady with a heart full of quiet love. At 12 years old, she’s got the grace and softness of a seasoned companion, but you’d never guess her age by looking at her. She’s healthy, spry, and as beautiful as ever. She was deeply loved by her previous owner, who had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her when moving into assisted living. That love is still felt—our rescue provides regular updates so her first mommy knows she’s safe and cared for.Sissy thrives best in a calm, quiet environment where she doesn’t feel overwhelmed. Truthfully, Sissy is very timid. New sights, sounds, and people can intimidate her, and it takes time for her to warm up. But under that shyness is a gentle soul who just wants to feel safe, loved, and have a best friend with her new person. What she needs most is a patient, compassionate adopter who will give her the time and space to come out of her shell at her own pace.
