My story

My name is Fizzy Pop and I am a black domestic longhair. I am a spayed female and I am 6 years and 5 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 05/28/2025 due to the fact my owner had personal problems happening in their life and could not take care of me anymore. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a medium energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I do have a history of trying to escape the home, so the shelter staff recommends my new owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out the door whenever they leave. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I can be good with dogs.My previous owner had this to say about me: I know how to play fetch! I can be nervous with children at first, but warm up in no time!All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
