My story

Meet Owen Owen is about 2 years old, weighs 23 pounds and is a typical happy, playful lowriding pup! He is very sweet, friendly and as you can see in the video, enjoys exploring and playing. He was rescued near the border of Mexico by a private rescuer. We are so happy he is safe with us. We can see Owen doing well in a home where he can get lots of attention and playtime with his family. He is curious and also enjoys being held. He has a fun personality and in true terrier fashion, he is very smart. He enjoys playing with his toys and other dogs here at the shelter. He will correct the other dogs if they get too close to his face. He has a dominant personality and would be fine being the only dog in the house. He is just a fun-loving pup who can’t wait to find a home of his own! He would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. Owen is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Chelsea, MI on June 28th. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the only to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol.
