My story

1.Housetrained? Yes2.Experience with dogs? When we walk she is interested in other dogs. Doesn’t bark at them but we haven’t interacted with any of them. Sometimes pulls to get closer to other dogs. Sometimes seemingly ignores other dogs. 3.Experience with cats? Yes, she was a little nervous with our cat initially but after 2-3 days she was no longer nervous. She seems to like the cat and stiffs her sometimes. Hasn’t been aggressive towards the cat but I don’t let them be together unless we supervise them.4.Experience with kids? None at this point5.Details on leash training, crate training and other training commands known: she sits and lies down with treats although not immediate so needs some work on the commands. She walks good on a harness so use one and not a collar because she pulls on a collar.6.Details on personal history, if known (how did he/she arrive at the shelter): her former life was with a family. She was ok with other dogs and cats and kids in the former household. The family had a new baby and she supposedly became a behavior program but no real details of what that means. Lexi seems pretty social to me. She likes people and although she has a lot of energy she is well behaved. She loves to chew on appropriate dog objects like kongs with treats, bully sticks, yaks, whatever you can give her that is appropriate for dogs to chew. She likes the bones with marrow in them. She is very intelligent and sweet. 1.Describe cuddling behavior/affection level: she likes to be petted and her fur brushed, I don’t let her up on the sofa or bed but she would love to get up there and hang out with me. She is very affectionate.2.Describe play behavior and favorite toys: appropriate chew toys, like kongs, rawhide…She will chew up the squeaky toys very quickly so don’t give them to her.3.Describe activity level: she’s 8 years old but still has some puppy in her. She likes to run around the back yard and chase lizards even when it is very hot. She takes quite a few naps during the day, sleeps through the night. 4.Look into the dog’s eyes. What is he/she telling you? She loves routines, kind people and affection. 5.What are the best adjectives to describe this dog? She seems very loyal and joyful. Tail wags often, she smiles a lot. She seems very happy. 6.What does the dog specifically DO that exemplifies those adjectives (ex. Maybe a good adjective for the dog is “lo
