My story

Elena is a gentle, timid puppy with a tender heart. The world feels like a big, overwhelming place to her right now, but with patience and love, she’s learning that it can also be safe and kind. She’s slow to warm up, but once she trusts you, her quiet affection begins to shine through.Elena is both dog and cat friendly, and she’ll do best in a calm, understanding home where she can blossom at her own pace. She is easily startled by sudden noises and fast movements, and she will need not only patience and compassion, but also a bit of tough love to help her push through her fears and build confidence. Gentle structure, consistency, and encouragement will go a long way in helping her grow.If you believe in the power of love, resilience, and quiet companionship, Elena may be the perfect little soul for you. With your help, this shy girl will find her courage and show you just how deeply she can love.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas.
