Lily

My story

Lily is such a sweet and gentle pup. She is house trained, crated trained, and becoming a better leash walker everyday. She weighs in at 60 pounds right now but could due to put on a pound or two. She is currently staying in her foster home in Denver. Lily came to Colorado from Texas in mid-December, together with two sisters and her mom - all looking for a fresh start in life. She arrived underweight, scared, and not wanting anything to do with people. After a couple weeks, she was just starting to come out of her shell when we discovered that she was also pregnant. She soon had a large litter of puppies, but none survived. With all that behind her now, the true Lily is finally blossoming! This sweet girl is growing daily in her confidence, trust, and curiosity to explore the world. Lily is initially cautious with strangers and new experiences, but is willing to try with patience. (Tasty treats also help inspire!) Lily's ideal adopter is calm, gentle, and willing to work with her to bring out the best she can be. Lily loves nothing more than a hike with some of her new doggo friends she has met in her foster home. She would do great in a home with a calmer playmate. That said, Lily would also do well as the only dog in a home where she can receive the full measure of love and attention she deserves.
