My story

Looking for a loyal companion who’s past the puppy chaos but still full of life? Meet Porter, a 12-year-old gentleman who’s as reliable as they come. Porter lives for his ball—he plays fetch like a pro and will amaze you with his energy and focus. After playtime, he’s perfectly content to relax. He doesn’t beg for food, stays off the furniture, and has flawless house manners. He can hold it all day and truly respects his home. Porter came to us from Texas, where he spent his life in a fenced yard. When he arrived in Ohio, his skin was in extremely poor condition due to years of neglect and untreated allergies. With a lot of love, proper diet, quality care, and medication, his coat has transformed and now looks great! He does require Apoquel daily to manage his environmental allergies, especially after moving from outdoor life in Texas to the seasonal shifts of Ohio. He takes it like a champ and feels so much better because of it. Porter has never been neutered, and due to his age and our vet’s recommendation, we will not be neutering him. He does not mount, mark, or exhibit any behavioral issues due to being intact—he truly is a respectful and well-mannered gentleman. He’s happiest in a calm, adult-only home where he can be the only pet and get all the attention he deserves. He loves his daily walks, plays a fantastic game of fetch, and forms a strong bond with his person. Adoption is $100 which includes his age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention.
