My story

LILA: Lila will be a playful girl once she is comfortable with her new family. She is a mellow, overall easygoing girl, and prefers a chill spot on the couch looking out a window. She likes to play with string type toys. She will need a slow introduction to her new home - we recommend setting her up in her own space to start (an extra bedroom or bathroom, for example). Choose a space that people or animals do not have access to unless you are going in to clean or feed. She should be left alone initially as she adjusts. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to a vertical surfaces as well like a cat tree or a cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a litter box, food, and water. She should never be approached or pet or picked up when she is hiding or showing fearful body language like curling up into a tight, tense ball, flattening her ears backward or to the sides, hissing, growling, swatting, etc. Ideally, with enough time to herself, she will begin to relax and move around more freely with visitors to her room. COMPATIBILITY:KIDS: Teens and up! Lila struggled when children were loud in her previous home so she is looking for a low traffic, quiet homeDOGS & CATS: No thanks, to reduce stress If you think Lila could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevin`s Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. We have open adoption hours Tuesday - Sunday from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm with no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat room during open hours. Staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LILA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
